Store Blogger Room Vendor

The ultimate vendor system for your blogger room. Let your bloggers easily get items to blog about and let them submit there posts. Bloggers can get between 1 and 10 items only. You set the limit. When they reach there item limit you or a manager need to approve a submitted post before they can take more items. You can also manually remove the items using the blue dialog menu on the server. You and your managers (when enabled) receive notifications (in-world and/or email) of submitted posts and if posts where approved or declined. The blogger will also receive a notification if there blog post was approved or declined. Almost everything is done from the Store Blogger Room server. So when you want to change something you don’t need to do this on many vendors. Inside the Server you will find a notecard to which you can add the names

Replacement for Blogotex

I have been spending most of this month working on my replacement for Blogotex. I have already setup my new blogger room with this system al do i still need to add more items for my bloggers. Don’t get me wrong do. Blogotex is a great system. Maybe the weekly subscription fee is a little on the high side but its a good system and i would definitely recommend it. Anyhow me and many others do prefer to have a system that works in-world and does not require you to pay a subscription fee. The Store Blogger Room Vendor System (available in my store soon) is exactly that. A subscription free system that works in-world. It keeps track of who takes what items, allows you to set a limit, lets bloggers submit blog posts and much more. If you want to check out my blogger room or want to apply

Rant about scripts and lag

Most often then not lag is blamed on scripts. And very often you see people implement restrictions on scripts that can be used on sims, events, fairs, etc. What is with this? Are scripts to blame for most of the lag or is it just that people tend to be scared of and blame that what they do not understand? Fact is that most people don’t really understand lag, even those that spend a lot of time checking the top scripts on a sim. I mean, who did read the manual? Who spend time reading the Wiki? Who after reading everything fully understands it? Short answer is barley anyone. Which results in people assume that scripts with more memory cause more lag then scripts with less memory. This however is a complete falls assumption. I can write you a single extremely small script that will cause 100 time more lag

Editing the Magic Portal

The Magic Portals work with a collision prim that detects when the avatar walks in to the portal. For realism this collision prim is located inside the portal so that when people walk against the sides or other parts of the portal they don’t get teleporter. With some portals such as the 4D Portal Door the collision prim is located behind the door, so that you see your avatar walking through the door before they get teleported. This may be a problem when you put the door on a wall as the collision prim might result in the wall. As all the Magic Portals are mod you can easily fix this if required. Just edit the portal, select “Edit linked” and find the prim with the “FW COL” script in it. Reposition this prim to where you want and done.
